My passion for all things branding and marketing began about 15 years ago at my first job after I graduated from the University of Delaware. I was a tourism specialist with Visit Santa Barbara—a city that I had been living in for three weeks... (Thank the powers that be for Google and welcoming locals.) I quickly learned the ins and outs of hotels, restaurants, wineries, spas and local shops.
Throughout each interaction, both online and in person, it became clear that some businesses shine with unique and compelling experiences, while others offer the ordinary. Those compelling experiences stayed with me, and therefore, received more referrals and more business. It was those businesses that differentiated their brand, engaged in a meaningful way and infused memorable values that stood out from the crowd.
