Adventures in marketing.

My passion for marketing and branding began about 20 years ago at my first job after graduating from the University of Delaware. As a tourism specialist with Visit Santa Barbara—a city I had been living in for only three weeks—I had to quickly bring myself up to speed on the local hospitality scene. (Thank the powers that be for Google and welcoming locals.) I immersed myself in the world of hotels, restaurants, wineries, and small businesses of all kinds, learning firsthand how some brands naturally attract their audience while others fade into the background. The businesses that differentiated themselves—whether through unique offerings, compelling messaging, or memorable experiences—weren’t just more recognizable; they earned more referrals, engagement, and growth.
That early lesson became the foundation of my career. Over the past 20+ years as a marketing and growth strategist, I’ve scaled up businesses through strategic thinking and best-in-class execution—turning ideas into real, measurable results. My experience spans Santa Barbara to Boston to the Delaware beaches, where I’ve helped professional service firms, hospitality brands, and nonprofits generate creative ideas, refine their messaging, and implement strategies that strengthen their market position and fuel business growth. What sets me apart is the ability to both architect and implement marketing initiatives. My background in writing, graphic design, media psychology, public relations, event planning, media buying, and web design gives me a 360-degree approach to marketing. I am well-versed in the full lifecycle of a marketing strategy—from conceptualizing brand positioning to executing campaigns across digital, print, and experiential platforms. Today, I draw from my experience in marketing management to help businesses connect with their audience in creative, meaningful ways. Serving on multiple Chamber of Commerce and nonprofit boards have also given me a unique perspective into the challenges and opportunities businesses face, further deepening my understanding of how to position them for success in competitive markets.
